 MIKLOS POGANY  b. Budapest, Hungary, 1946; resides in Boston, Massachusetts                                   

Miklos Pogany's formal education was taken not in fine art but in comparative literature, aesthetics and philosophy.  His graduate work in those subjects was done at The University of Chicago, where he was awarded a PhD in 1972. His Bachelor of Arts was taken at St. Procopius College in Chicago.

Pogany has exhibited frequently in New England at such institutions as the University of Connecticut, The Phillips Collection in Washington, DC and Cummins Art Center of Connecticut College.  Solo shows of his work have been featured in Museum Vasarely in Budapest, Hungary, Gallery Queyras in Paris, France;  Galerie Munsterberg in Basel Switzerland and at Associated American Artists and Victoria Munson Gallery in New York City among many others. 

His work is in the permanent collections of Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris; The Victoria and Albert Museum, London; The Phillips Collection, Washington, DC; National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC; Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, Connecticut; Philadelphia Museum of Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City; Snite Museum, University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana and The Jane Voorhees Zimerli Art Museum, Rutgers State University, New Jersey among many others.

Among his awards Pogany counts a Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award in 1981 and a Rockefeller Foundation Grant for research in Bellagio, Italy in 1990.

Florida, North Carolina and District of Columbia residents: State tax will be added to the purchase price.

Prints are shipped flat. Shipping and handling adds $35 to the price of the print.

Shipment and returns: Your print will be shipped as soon as we receive payment. Each print comes with a documentation sheet that certifies the materials used in making the print and the number of prints and proofs in the edition, along with other important information.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase return it within seven days of receipt in the packaging in which it was sent. The Littleton Collection will refund the purchase price on undamaged merchandise.
